I hate it when politicians pretend that everything could be paid for by magically hand-waving away fraud, waste, abuse, etc. On that note, here's the best one-line response to Obama's healthcare speech I've yet seen:
He said,
Reducing the waste and inefficiency in Medicare and Medicaid will pay for most of this plan.
And if we don't pass this plan, does he intend to keep the waste and inefficiency, out of spite?
Zing! If we're going to trim waste to get the money, let's trim the waste, get the money, see how much it really is, and then decide what to do with it.
